Following are frequently asked questions that outline the steps we take to insure that our website continues to be a safe and supportive community for girls.

What information do you collect from users?
There are four different ways for users to contact us through our website: feedback forms, contact forms, e-update or newsletter sign up forms. |
| Feedback forms - Throughout the site, users can provide their anonymous feedback through polls, quizzes and surveys. For these types of activities, we will not ask for any personally identifiable information (i.e. last name, address, email address). |
| Contact forms - If a user is seeking an answer to a specific question, he/she can submit that question through a contact form or email. On this form, users are asked to provide their email address so that our staff can respond. Once we have responded, the email address is deleted from our database. Hygeia does not store any email addresses except for users who have signed up to receive our regular updates and mailings on products. |
| e-Update Sign Up forms - Users can sign up to receive regular email updates that contain information about new content on the MyPetiteAmie.com/PetiteAmie.com and JolieMama.com sites. This content is specific to either MyPetiteAmie.com/Petitemie.com or JolieMama.com online activities, features, polls, quizzes, new products etc. In order to be added to this mailing list, users are asked to provide their email address, which is stored in our secure database. Each newsletter provides users with the option to unsubscribe from the list. |
| Newsletter Sign Up forms - Users can sign up to receive the Petite Amie or Jolie Mama newsletter, a regular emailer that contains information about new content on the each site. This content is specific to Petite Amie or Jolie Mama. In order to be added to this mailing list, users are asked to provide their email address, which is stored in our secure database. Each newsletter provides users with the option to unsubscribe from the list.

Do you notify parents when a girl signs up to receive your e-update or newsletter?
Hygeia adheres to the multiple online contact rule of COPPA (the Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act) by asking users to provide their age before they sign up for our newsletter. Users who indicate that they are under the age of 13 are asked to provide a separate email address for a parent. Hygeia then sends the parent an email with information about the newsletter and the option to unsubscribe. At any time, a parent can unsubscribe, which will result in the removal of their daughter’s name from our list.

Do you share information with outside parties?
Hygeia never shares information with third parties. The information and data we collect is used only to fulfill requests, and never for commercial purposes. |
Does Hygeia offer message boards via the MyPetiteAmie.com/PetiteAmie.com and JolieMama.com sites?
Hygeia does offer message boards. We believe that our audience benefits from an online community, but we take extensive measures to ensure that our boards are completely safe, secure and COPPA compliant. Registration is anonymous, with no personally identifiable information collected from our users. A Hygeia staff member screens all posts before they appear on our site, insuring that the content of the posts is audience-appropriate. |
